SF Thrift Guide: Haight Street
Haight Street is a vintage lover's dream. The street is vibrant, filled with tie-dye-colored buildings and eccentric sights (there are giant legs hanging out over the street), and it's packed full of vintage, consignment, and thrift stores to fit every price range and style.
I won't lie — my first time visiting Haight Street wasn't a success. I was intimidated by the people walking by in much cooler outfits than mine, and the overwhelming number of thrift stores sent me home empty-handed. Since then, I've visited the street many times, and I've learned where to score the best deals, where to find the hidden gems, and which stores to skip.
I hope this guide makes thrifting and secondhand shopping in SF easier and stress-free, whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned pro.
